Cornriggs farm is situated at 446 meter above sea level in the uplands of the North Pennines on wild flower hay meadows, which are SSSI. We use only natural feed for our cattle.

In the Summer months the cows go to graze on the fell allotment at 500 meters where the views are wonderful and the grass is lush.

We usually calf outside and it is not unusual to find a calf that's born in the morning up, and running around soon after.

In 2003 we started our new herd - Our foundation stock came from the famous Romany Herd at Cowbog, Kelso.

With famous bulls such as Gleenlees Storm, Free Town Longfellow, Marathon and Maestro. Along with cows such as Mink, Jane, Dawn, and Plum.

We were very fortunate to buy a stock bull from The Greenyards Herd. Greenyards Ajax' brother went on to win bull of the year in 2006 Greenyard Archie.

Ajax has an excellent pedigree with Doonbiddie Hustler (Australia) as his sire and Leos Pride 1 Princess Elisia his dam. This herd has held numerous championship titles.

Harry Elliott is passionate about his Herefords and started showing in 2007 and now 2008 and has been very fortunate to be in the rosettes every time he has been to a show, we have some good strong heifers coming on to show in 2009 and also cattle for sale.
